Are you measuring your progress everday?
A mentor of mine encouraged me to just be better today than yesterday.
By applying this principle consistently you will be able to improve any area of your life.
I began to apply this principle in my own life with my daily diet.
I started to keep a log of the foods I was eating for two weeks. I documented what I ate, how many calories, protein, and how I felt twenty minutes after I ate.
After reviewing my diet after the two weeks I was amazed how many calories I was eating, how little protein I was eating at each meal and how many meals did not include any fruits or vegetables.
One of the important things I learned was which foods were robbing me of my energy. Snacks like candy and sodas.
Snacks like candy and soda caused my blood sugar to spike and then I was tired.
When I did the research on sugar I learned that sugar burns fast where more dense foods that are high in protein and fiber and are slow burning foods. That means they will keep you from being hungry between meals.
Begin today to use this process in the areas you want to improve and this will allow you to make wise choices that will provide immediate results.
My diet today consists of high protein, high fiber foods that give me good energy all day long.
I have eliminated candy and soda from my diet and eat more fruits and vegetables at each meal and started exercising regularly which allowed me to lose over fifty pounds.
i will be fifty next month and I feel better now than I did in my twenties.
I hope this will inspire you to make better food choices and help you reach your weight and nutrition goals.
